who we are

Heating Solutions is a long-established and trusted business run by husband-and-wife team Paul and Sharon Barnes. We are committed to providing our customers with a service that is second to none, from the initial contact with the office through to the completion of an installation or boiler service and for years to follow with regular servicing and maintenance. All of our staff understand the importance of putting the customer first, especially in an area of the country where word of mouth is still greatly valued. Many of our customers have been with us for years and appreciate our honest and friendly approach.

Director

Responsible for overseeing all our central heating installations, maintenance and boiler servicing work. Paul will make sure you get a really competitive quotation. He has a keen interest in rugby and motorbikes - but don’t get him started.

Sharon
Barnes

Director

Sharon joined Paul back in 2000 to help run the office side of Heating Solutions alongside bringing up their two sons, Dan and Joe. She oversees the running of the office, ensuring that our customers receive a service over and above their expectations. As the business (and boys) grew, it was soon necessary to employ a helping hand in the office.

Julie started working for Heating Solutions in 2006 carrying out the administration work alongside Sharon. Her role has grown considerably since then and she is now managing the office. Julie’s main role is to take the phone calls and arrange for an engineer to visit if required. She also organises the Landlord’s gas safety checks for the many estate agents and management companies we work alongside. Originally from Leicester she is a keen supporter of the Foxes (and Gary Lineker!)

Office Manager

Sean joined us as an apprentice and is now out on the road. He has been with us for over 17 years and his main role is to carry out boiler servicing and repairs. He has a lovely way with customers, they often contact us after his visit to say what a pleasant lad he is. He enjoys his fitness, running the London Marathon for Guide Dogs for the Blind in 2023, and is also another one of our motorbike enthusiasts.

Service Engineer

Craig is the all-round engineer, he can lay his hand to boiler installations, boiler servicing and repairs. He has an excellent engineering knowledge and a great memory for jobs he has been to, probably because he is so organised. He loves to spend his weekends with his young family and yes, he also enjoys cycling.

Will, another apprentice that has come up through the ranks, his primary role is carrying out installations of boiler and heating systems. Will has a lovely laid back, happy approach to all aspects of life. He is probably our best cyclist (don’t tell the others), spending much of his spare time on his racer. Although having recently become a dad, he is loving spending time with his family.

APPRENTICE

Josh joined us in 2022 as an apprentice. We weren’t actively looking for another apprentice, so we agreed to support him whilst at college, it soon became clear he would be a valued part of our team. He is working towards becoming a service engineer and is learning so much whilst working alongside Craig.
